Ceramox Wear Solutions
Ceramox operates as a division of Wonderstone Ltd and specializes in providing customised wear solutions and corrosion protection, where abrasion, impact, friction, heat and corrosion pose industrial problems. Typical applications include Chutes, Hoppers, Classifier Cones, Cyclone Separators, Pipe Linings and Wear Panels. Our industrial workhorse and most frequently specified wear material is a 92% Alumina Tile manufactured locally at our Wonderstone plant in a variety of standard sizes and shapes that can be installed economically in a shop or in the field. It remains the best cost to life material available for extreme abrasive wear conditions. Our computer generated engineered shapes provide an exact fit for more complex shapes such as lobster bends and classifier cones
Aero-tech is an advanced bonding technology that combines special adhesives, wear resistant materials and controlled processing to offer:-

- high reliability in dynamic applications allowing ceramic-faced blades to flex and bend,
- increased and effective impact resistance of the Alumina Tile,
- tested high shear strength,
- proven performance in light weight designs.
Epoxies and Wear Compounds complement the Wear Tiles; the Standard Epoxy for bonding the Alumina Tiles and the High Wear Compound to be applied where complex shapes or hard to reach surfaces need protection. The High Bond Grade provides the added shear strength to secure our pulley lagging tiles to conveyor drives. Where higher temperatures or acid conditions are encountered, advice should be sought from our engineers.
Laboratoryware crucibles are slip cast using 99.8% Alumina in a range of sizes and shapes capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1700 ºC. To avoid thermal shock damage, the heating or cooling rate should not exceed 200 ºC per hour at any stage of the thermal cycle.
